CES can be caused by many factors that affect LS at the cauda equina and cause compression on the nerve roots in that region
one of these factors is LSS as its a progression of OA that narrows that canal so can cause spinal compression of those roots
however the presentation of LSS or neurogenic claudication could include bilateral symptoms (pain, weakness, anaesthesia, paraesthesia) that are going into both legs - these are red flags of the lumbar spine
CES can be a gradual onset, insidious or traumatic so pts need to be educated on symptoms
