  • -The left coronary artery arises from the ascending aorta and branches into the left circumflex artery before continuing as the left anterior descending artery. The left circumflex artery gives off the left marginal artery.
    -The right coronary artery arises from the ascending aorta. It first gives off the SA nodal artery followed by the right marginal artery, then the AV nodal artery in the crux of the heart. The Right Coronary Artery then terminates in the posterior interventricular artery. The Right coronary artery runs primarily in the atrioventricular groove.
