  • Sense of Isolation
    Staff may feel isolated and not part of a team as they are physically working on their own. It is difficult for a manager to promote team spirit.
  • More difficult to get work done
    Staff may find it difficult to discipline themselves to get the work done as there may be more distractions at home and no manager physically watching them.
  • Difficult to ensure staff are complying with guidelines
    It is difficult to ensure staff are complying with health and safety requirements when they are not working in the office. Staff could break health and safety policies and practices and it would not be seen.
  • Difficult to supervise
    It is difficult to supervise staff who are not working in the same office as the line manger.
