  • Career Breaks
Different types of organisations offer different types of breaks. The most common examples are when women take time out to have a family. The length of the break may vary according to the employee and the organisation.
  • Unpaid Leave
If an employee wishes to take a certain amount of time off but has already used their full annual leave entitlement, the company may allow them to take time off but they will not receive pay.
  • Case Loading
The completion of a given workload is considered more important than working a set number of hours in a day. Therefore, where it is considered that the overall work of the organisation will not suffer, employees are often allowed to adopt more flexible working patterns.
  • Outsourcing
The organisation contracts another organisation to do a job for them - contracts them to perform work.
