HNRDA (Harmonized National Research and Development Agenda)
Prepared by DOST in collaboration with the government and other concerned private agencies and institutions to make certain that all the science and technology endeavors are directed towards the realization of economic and social benefits of mankind
The HNRDA is organized into 5 sectors: NIBRA, HRDA, AANR, IEET and DRRCCA
NIBRA
National Integrated Basic Research Agenda - focus on basic principles of research with six issue-based programs
NUHRA
National United Health Research Agenda - implemented by DOST-PCHRD, serves as the national roadmap for health research in the Philippines
AANR
Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources - implemented by DOST-PCAARD, supports the use of advanced and emerging technologies and empowers farmers
IEET
Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology - implemented by DOST-PCIEERD, focused on industrial development and development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and countryside development
DRRCCA
Disaster Risk Assessment and Climate Change Adaptation - implemented by PAGASA, NDRRMC, PHILVOLCS, responsible for the safety of the Filipino people
The HNRDA is in line with AmBisyon Natin 2040: matatag, maginhawa at panatag na buhay para sa lahat, which has three pillars: Malasakit (enhancing the social fabric), Pagbabago (reducing inequality), and Kaunlaran (increasing potential growth)
AmBisyonNatin2040 represents the collective long-term vision and aspirations of the Filipino people for themselves and for the country in the next 25 years
All sectors of the society, whether public or private, should direct their efforts towards creating opportunities for Filipinos to enjoy a matatag, maginhawa at panatag na buhay
