  • The Trinity
    • Christians believe there are three persons in the one God : Father , Son and Holy Spirit 
    • This belief is called the Trinity 
    • God is understood by Christians as a relationship of love between Father , Son and Holy Spirit 
    • Each person of the Trinity is fully God , but the persons of the Trinity are not the same 
    • In describing God as Trinity , ‘person’ does not mean a physical being (Although Jesus did have a physical presence in history)
  • God the Father
    • God the Father is the creator of all ife 
    • He acts as a good father towards his children 
    • He is all powerful (omnipotent), all loving (omnibenevolent), all knowing (omniscient) and present everywhere (omnipresent)
  • God the Son
    • God the Son became incarnate through Jesus
    • Jesus was both fully human on earth and fully God at all times 
    • Jesus is called the Son of God to show his special relationship with God the Father
  • God the Holy Spirit
    • God the Holy Spirit is the unseen power of God at work in the world 
    • God the Holy Spirit influences , guides and sustains life on Earth
