  How far has been/has to be travelled (in m or km)
• Displacement


  Straight line distance between the beginning and finishing point (in m or km). Includes direction (north, south, east, west, etc)
• Average speed


  A measure of how fast something moves over its entire journey. This ignores stops and changes in speed.
• Instantaneous speed


  The speed in a particular instance. An example of something that measures instantaneous speed is the speedometer in cars.
