  Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass (of the object being accelerated) the greater the amount of force needed (to accelerate the object).

  • Your friend gets in his car. You push the car and it is very difficult to move. You push harder, and it barely begins to move. All your friends together push the car. It moves faster and faster.
