  • Good lighting is one of the primary requirements of a house or building. Hence, it is very important to learn how to create an electrical wiring diagram suitable to the unit. If you know how to create different electrical wiring diagrams you can save time, money and prevent any kind of injury while performing the tasks
  • An electrical wiring diagram is a representation of the physical connections, the layout of the electrical system, or the circuit, abstract, pictorial of symbols, and its schematic. It also shows the interconnections of the system such as electrical wires, fixtures, and components.
  • Block Diagram it is the simplest form of electrical drawing. It only comprises the function of each component and provides the flow of a process in the system which uses blocks and lines connected to each other to show their relationship.
  • Schematic Diagram is a sketch that shows the components of the circuit by standard electrical symbols. It consists the actual number of components and the way the wiring is routed but not the actual location. A type of a schematic diagram of a voltage amplifier.
  • INTERNAL it shows the internal circuits of a single physical device.
  • EXTERNAL these shows the internal circuit of the physical device and the external circuits that conduct input and output signals into and out of the devices.
  • Single Line diagram (SLD) also known as one-line diagram. It represents the electrical circuit having a single line. It is used to denote a multiple power line like in 3 phase system. This is used to determine and isolate any faulty equipment in any power system during troubleshooting.
  • Three line diagram the function is to get the detailed information that are related to three-phase circuitry, which cannot be seen in a single line diagram. This is useful for the power system operations maintenance.
  • Pictorial diagram a diagram of electrical circuit that represents the external appearance of each component. It is a photograph of the circuit that uses simple images of the parts.
  • Ladder diagram the electrical diagrams that represents the electrical circuits in industries to document control logic systems. It looks like a ladder, having two vertical lines: the left vertical line represents the voltage source and the right vertical line shows the ground or neutral. Each horizontal row shows the parallel circuit called rung.
  • Logic diagram shows the logic circuit by having the complex circuit and process using various blocks or symbols. It is represented by the logic symbols wherein the blocks are used to represent complex logic circuit. The blocks are labeled with logic function without understanding the internal structure. These are interconnected by lines that represents input and output lines for the signals.
