  • God the Father
    God the Father is the creator of all things. Belief that he is the creator ex nihlio (God created the universe out of nothing). "Through him all things were made" - (John 1: 1-3). God is viewed as a loving father. Shown in the parable of the Prodigal Son. God is also know as the Father of Jesus "No one knows the son except the Father" - Matthew 11:27
  • God the Son
    Jesus is God in human form. God becoming flesh. Jesus is the Son. Jesus was sent to save humanity. Catholics believed that he was sacrificed for the sins of human kind which allows us to be reunited with God after death. "The word became flesh and is dwelling among us" (John 1:14)
  • God the Holy Spirit
    Belief that the Holy Spirit is the power of God on earth. He is often depicted as wind, fire or a dove. Catholics Church also teaches that via the Holy Spirit we receive grace and gifts from God. Via the Holy Spirit Mary became pregnant with Jesus.
  • St Augustine stated that two parts of the trinity are equal to the third part
