  • Jesus' birth
    Jesus' birth was announced to Mary by the angel Gabriel. Mary was chosen because she is the Immaculate Conception. Mary and Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem, as a census has been called and each was to return to their hometown. Due to the census Bethlehem was full and Mary gave birth to Jesus in a stable. Matthew's and Luke's Gospels tell of visitors to the new born.
  • Jesus' birth - Matthew's Gospel

    In Matthew's Gospel the magi came to visit offering gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense after following a star. These gifts are a sign to show that Jesus is the king.
  • Jesus' birth - Luke's Gospel

    In Luke's Gospel, shepherds came to worship the new born child. The humble shepherds show that Jesus came to serve and save all people for races and backgrounds
  • The crucifixion of Jesus
    The crowd chose to free Barabbas to be free therefore condemning Christ to death. Jesus was whipped, stripped of his clothes and was give a crown of thorns and a robe to wear as the crowd mocked him. He was given a cross to carry to Golgotha where he was crucified. He fell 3 times and Simon from Cyrene helped him carry it. He was crucified between 2 criminals and had a sign reading 'King of the Jews'. Jesus cried out "My God, my God, why did you abandon me". He was offered wine but refused. He took his last breathe and the veil in the temple tore into 2.
  • Jesus' resurrection
    Luke's Gospel stated that 2 women went to visit the tomb of Jesus to anoint his body. When they arrived the stone at the entrance had been moved. 2 men asked them "He is not here; he has been risen". The women went to tell the apostles who did not believe them. Peter ran to the tomb and saw it empty
  • Jesus' ascension
    After his resurrection he spent time with the apostles and told them that God when send down the Holy Spirit just as he promised. He sent them out to tell the people about the Word of God. He was taken to Heaven on a cloud. The ascension shows Jesus returning to his Father and later at Pentecost the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles
