Electric fields

• Electric field strength is the electrostatic force per unit positive charge.
• Electric field is a region of space where a charged particle experiences an electric force.
• Electric potential at a point is the amount of work done to bring a unit positive charge from infinity to that point in the electric field.
• Electron volt is defined as the energy that an electron/proton gain/loses when it is accelerating/decelerating through a potential difference of volt.
• Coulomb's law states that the force between two point charges is directly proportional to the product of the two charge and is inversely proportional to the square of the distance of their separation.
