    • Message and purpose are clear
    • Language is simple to avoid ambiguity

    • Fact-check before communicating
    • Content is truthful, provide examples when appropriate, check grammar, and proofread the message before sending

    • All important information must be delivered when communicating
    • The other person must know every important detail to understand your message and intent accurately so that they can respond appropriately
    • Complete message --> should NOT leave room for questions or queries

    • Balance between too much or too little detail
    • Use props, graphs, or data if appropriate
    • Emphasize main points
  • Concise
    • KISS --> Keep It Short and Simple
    • DON'T USE unnecessary words or add information for the sake of it
    • Make points individually
    • DON'T REPEAT the same point in different ways
  • Considerate/Courteous
    • Empathy in the message that you will communicate
    • Try to put yourself in the shoes of the recipient
    • Consider how the message might impact them
    • Effective communication --> observe politeness, be friendly --> will get more welcome responses

    • Organize the points that you want to make in a logical, chronological, or systematic order
    • Connect your points to maintain flow, without adding unnecessary information
