  The Moon is almost full, the lighted side is getting larger
• Full Moon

  The entire lighted side of the Moon is visible from Earth
• Waning Gibbous

  The lighted side of the Moon is getting smaller
• Last Quarter

  The Moon is three-quarters of the way around the Earth
• Waning Crescent

  The lighted side has almost disappeared, a new Moon will begin the cycle again
