  • multiple choice questions
    read each question and the 4 options 2-3 times to ensure you have understood it and the key terms with it. look at each answer and try to think how it might not be correct. this cancelling out method will help you to reach the correct answer
  • context and application of knowledge questions (section B and C)
    always answer in context, even if the wording of the question does not demand it as it helps with elaboration and outlining how something works
  • strengths and weaknesses questions
    you must use Point, Evidence, Explain. even for questions you think do not need to be related to the scenario in the question. provide examples/evidence in the context of the theme of what the research is about and give clear explanations of the strength and weakness
  • hypothesis questions 

    correctly state the hypothesis (alternative/null) with operational details of the variables. the IV should have detailed description of how it has been manipulated and the DV has clear details of how the IV will be measured
  • 15 mark questions
    for each bullet point you must say How you did it, then provide a reason Why- using psychological knowledge, finally, support your decision with your previous experience of using the research method stated in the question
  • data analysis and interpretation questions
    respond clearly with use of examples in context. use justification when necessary
  • maths questions
    you must show your working out, and the correct answer
