  visited by the ghost of christmas past- the spirit show S his sad childhood- when he was a vulnerable young boy and was left for xmas- when his fiance (Belle) broke his heart because she said a 'golden idol' had replaced her-shown his ex fiance (Belle) happy family to sjow what he could of had
• stave 3

  visited by the ghost of christmas present- teaches S the spirit of xmas- shown the cratchits house where its filled with happiness but also shown Tiny Tim being an innocent result of poverty.Ignorance and want under ghosts skirt-symbols of the problems caused by poverty in victorian society

  visited by the ghost of xmas yet to come- the silent spirit took scrooge around to a lot of groups finding joy from an anonymous mans death and then shown a tomb stone with scrooges name on which causes scrooge to beg and plead that he will change
• stave 5


   Scrooge wakes up from his sleep after his visions of the spirits, and he is delighted to be able to live a better life. He gives money to the poor, spends Christmas with his nephew and his family, and then gives Bob Cratchit a raise.
