    training is important because it involves increasing the knowledge and skills of workers, so they can do their job more effectively. It also allows employees to acquire new skills, improve existing ones, perform better, and increases productivity.
    however, training can be expensive, and in some cases, the cost discourages investment in training this may result in lower productivity and loss of competitiveness.
  • Induction Training : A type of training that is designed to prepare employees for their new jobs.
    this helps new recruits, settle in and become familiar with their new surroundings
    if a firm fails to provide adequate induction training, staff may feel anxious. This might lead to poor productivity, and they may feel inclined to leave.

    • Company, history, aims, and objectives
    • complete tour of the workplace
    • Health and safety training
    • Company policies
  • What are the benefits of training?
    • keeping workers up-to-date with new technology, new legislation and new working practices, etc.
    • improving labor, flexibility, meaning that employees will be trained to be multi skilled
    • improving job satisfaction and motivation. This means that workers will feel more secure if they are trained, as not having any will be a source of anxiety.
    • New jobs in the business sometimes new products, technology, etc. will need retraining
    • training for a promotion this allows employees to handle the different duties and new responsibilities
