  • A sensorium is the apparatus of an organism's perception considered as a whole, the "seat of sensation" where it experiences, perceives, and interprets the environments within which it lives.
  • Visual stimulus is one of the main ways humans are sexually aroused.
  • Touch is thought to be the first sense that humans develop, according to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.
  • The sense of smell, or olfaction, is the special sense through which smells (or odors) are perceived.
  • An aphrodisiac is a substance alleged to increase libido, sexual libido, desire sexual attraction, or sexual behavior.
  • The tastes that we perceive are a two-phase chemical reaction that involves both our mouth and throat (taste) as well as our nose (smell).
