    3. For the tense, overworked client - reduce workload, make time to rest, take a relaxing bath, go to bed early
    4. Teach relaxation techniques and advise to practice at home
    5. For those with poor posture - teach corrective exercises
    6. Deep breathing exercises - increase intake of oxygen and elimination of carbon dioxide
  • It is important that clients are made aware of the factors that are thought to contribute to the build-up of fat and cellulite
  • Eat a well-balanced diet

    • Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (5 portions/day is recommended)

    4. The limbic system also plays a role in controlling several unconscious physiological functions, such as breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure
  • Essential oils can be inhaled or diluted and applied to the skin. They may stimulate your sense of smell or have medicinal effects when absorbed.

    Compounds able to slough away the top layer of dead epidermis cells of the skin, thereby leaving the skin appear smoother, fresher and less wrinkled

    • Promotes blood circulation in the skin and increases the turnover of surface skin cells

    1. Mechanically by scrubbing the skin with cleansers containing small, hard particles (scrubs)
    2. Chemically by applying cleansers containing active ingredients with a peeling effect (e.g. alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids and others)

  • How to use mud and clay masks
    1. Mud masks should be applied to a clean and dry face, allowed to dry for 20 to 30 minutes, then rinsed with warm water and a soft washcloth
    2. Clay masks are similarly applied to a clean, dry face and evenly distributed in a thin layer, allowed to dry up to 40 minutes, and should only be used once a week to avoid over-drying
