  • SETTING - refers to the time and location when and where the story takes place.
  • PLACE - geographical location.
  • TIME - historical period, time of day, year; when is the story taking place?
  • WEATHER CONDITION - is it rainy, sunny, or cloudy?
  • SOCIAL CONDITIONS - what is the daily life of characters like?
  • MOOD OR ATMOSPHERE - what is the feeling is created at the beginning of the story?
