  • SACRAMENTS : ought to bear fruit in lives that are "marked by the holiness and love of Christ
    1. BAPTISM - the 1st sacrament to be received. one cannot receive other sacraments without being baptized. it is also called the "door of faith". it removes our original or personal sins
  • 2. CONFIRMATION - the sacrament that bestows on the person the grace to grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and strengthens us in the mission to follow Christ. It is necessary to complete baptismal grace
  • 3. HOLY EUCHARIST : The sacrament in which Jesus Christ gave His whole self - body and blood - for uniting us closer to Him and opening our communication with His body, the church. it is the source and summit of our Christian life. it provides us spiritual nourishment to live our lives
  • 4. RECONCILATION : also called the sacrament of penance or confession . the sacrament by which we receive the grace of forgiveness for sins we have committed after baptism
  • 5. Anointing of the sick : a sacrament that offers the gift of healing and hope to those who are critically sick. impart the gifts of peace, spiritual strength and empowers the sick person.
  • 6. MATRIMONY : the rite in which a man and a woman make a covenant before God and the church to love each other and commit to each other as husband and wife together unto death.
  • 7. HOLY ORDERS : the ordained receives the gifts of Holy Spirit, who gives Him a sacred authority that conferred upon Him by Christ through the bishop
