  • Invented in February 9, 1895 by William G. Morgan in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

  • Important things:
    1. Ball - made of leather or synthetic leader; circumference is 65-67 cm, 260-280 g and a pressure of 0.30-0.325 kg/cm2.
    2. Net - 1m wide placed on top of the net is 2.43m for men's and 2.24 for women's.
    3. Court - 18m long and 9m wide, divided into two by 9m by 9m halves by a net. Attack line in 3m line divides the court into back row and front row.
