  • Public health careers - concerned with the health and safety of the community. It is the strand of the medical field that studies and minimizes the risks and threats to community health in the form of diseases, unhealthy lifestyles, toxins, and pollutants
  • BSPH Program- Bachelor of Science in Public Health

  • Population Health- study in more depth health outcomes, patters of health determinants, health equity, and the policies and interventions that influence the optimal balance of identified determinants.
  • Medical Laboratory Science - study additional courses on clinical laboratory-associated professional courses.
  • Personal healthcare - focuses on the individual health of people who seek their services. can be nurses, therapists, or personal aides.
  • Maternal and child care - they offer assistance and guidance to pregnant women before, during, and after child birth. They monitor the health of both mother and child.
  • Mental health - provides a variety of services from therapy to medication if needed. They usually overlap with the emotional health care that is needed by the patient
  • Psychiatrist has trained as a medical doctor and can prescribe medication
  • Psychologist is not a medical doctor and can't prescribe medication
  • Occupational health and safety - Keeping the workplace safe and accident-free
  • Disease prevention and control - Focuses on the study of diseases, their causes, methods of prevention, cure, pattern, and possible complications
  • BS in Microbiology - a 4 year program that provides the opportunity to study the various microorganisms, like viruses bacteria, algae, protozoan, and fungi, and their activities
  • Community and environmental health - experts in the state of health of the community they are stationed in. They are responsible for providing medical attention to the members of their community
  • Drug prevention and control - responsible for making sure that there are no illegal drug activities in their area.
  • Nutrition and dietetics - Play an important role in ensuring the physical health of the members of society by promoting a healthy diet.
  • Health education - Focus on all facets of public health. Their primary role is to provide health awareness to members of the community through talks, seminars, and formal education
  • Dental Health - Ideally, people visit the dentist twice a year. Dental health professionals are concerned not only with keeping the teeth health but also the gums, tongue, and palette as well.
  • Nursing- Filipinos are recognized as stellar nurses around the globe because they are innately kind and have a caring and nurturing nature. Nursing involves a wide scope of healthcare services. They provide first aid, monitor patient's health and progress, provide personal health care and assist during surgery.
