Barons were a problem for Edward because they were powerful and actively fought against Edward and Henry III in the Second Barons War

1st statute of westminster 1275 - Some land was being sold bought and split which meant new mesne lords are created. The stature meant that all land came from the king
2nd statute of Westminster 1285 - There were often disputes with true ownership of land as some people sold or gifted their land. The statute meant that you must pass full ownership to an heir
Statutes of Mortmain 1279 and 1290 - Mesne lords found a loophole where they could gift land to the church and lease it back to save money by avoiding rent. Edward wanted to stop the church from gaining land so the statute closed the loophole
3rd statue of Westminster 1290subinfudation meant that when land was transferred, the original holder of land would become feudal lord. The stature made it to be when you sell land, the previous Tennant would have no further claim to it
