• Criseyde: logical; reasons her way through → given more of her internal thought (mostly in book 2; book 4 also contains a lot of her thinking and speeches); she thinks for the moment
• Troilus: Lyric/courtly/romance language, Boethian lament, use of superlatives, apostrophe, and invocation. Idealisation of earthly love. Frequent misattribution and/or relinquishing of agency.
• Pandarus: Proverbs and commonplaces, worldly wisdom/cynicism, naturalistic imagery, humour/puns, frequent oaths
