Catholics believe all human beings are born with 'original sin', which is natural urge to go against God's wishes and sin. They believed this due to Genesis 3 which is described as 'The fall' as Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Catholic Church teaches that everybody descends from Adam and Eve so everyone inherits their sin. Catholic Church teaches that this original sin is 'washed away' during the sacrament of Baptism.
