  • effectiveness of antipsychotics - Lobos compared clozapine with a number of other antipschotics and found it reduced positive symptoms but had serious side effects so ppts dropped out
  • much research evidence - NICE conducted 31 reviews of methadone effectiveness and found increased retention on treatment programmes and reduces illicit opioid use
  • drugs can be seen as a chemical straightjacket and unethical
  • cause a range of side effects like headaches and nausea to life threatening symptoms
  • issues with valid consent and antipsychotic drugs as they may be experiencing psychosis and cant validily consent
