Angles

Cards (13)

  • An angle is defined as the amount of turn between two straight lines that share a common end point.
  • Vertex: The common point where the two lines meet.
  • Arms: The lines that make up the angle.
  • Degrees: The size of the angle is measured in degrees and usually denoted with the symbol.
  • Protractor: A tool that is used to measure angles.
  • Types of Angles:
    1. Acute Angle
    2. Right Angle
    3. Obtuse Angle
    4. Straight Angle
    5. Reflex Angle
    6. Full Rotation Angle
    7. Zero Degree Angle
  • Acute Angle: An angle that measures greater than 0° and less than 90°.
  • Right Angle: An angle that measures 90°.
  • Obtuse Angle: An angle that measures greater than 90° and less than 180°.
  • Straight Angle: An angle that looks like a straight line and measures 180°. It is half a revolution of a circle.
  • Reflex Angle: An angle that is more than 180° and less than 360°.
  • Full Rotation Angle: An angle that is equal to 360°.
  • Zero Degree Angle: An angle that does not form a vertex or measure 0°.
