  • There are 3 phases of Classical Conditioning
  • Phase 1: Before Conditioning
    Neutral Stimulus
    • stimulus that doesn't evoke reflex
    Unconditional Stimulus
    • stimulus that evokes reflex naturally
    Unconditional Response
    • reflex that occurs naturally due to the Unconditional Stimulus
  • Phase 2: During Conditioning
    Unconditioned Stimuli is presented straight after the Neutral Stimulus many times so that the Neutral Stimulus now evoked the Unconditioned Response
  • Phase 3: After Conditioning
    Conditioned Stimuli
    • this is the previously Neutral Stimulus, now has the ability to evoke a response or reflex
    Conditioned Response
    • reflex, now produced on presentation of Conditioned Stimuli without presence Unconditioned Stimuli
