  • Standard hours of work for employees
    Must not exceed eight (8) hours per day, with an obligatory less than 1 hour or 60 minutes break for lunch
  • Philippine law does not prohibit work periods shorter than eight hours

  • Health workers in big cities and big hospitals
    1. Work eight hours a day, five days a week, not counting meal times
    2. Work six days a week or forty-eight hours, should get paid extra for the sixth day
