DEPENDENT OR INDEPENDENT EVENTS

• An independent event is when the outcome of one event does not affect the outcome of another event.
• Dependent Event - the outcome of an event in some way affects the outcome of another event.
• Tossing a coin, then rolling a die, is an example of Independent Event
• Purchasing a car then purchasing a coat is an example of Independent Event.
