Behaviour is influenced by the central nervous system, genes and neurochemistry
Behaviour is a product of evolution
Genes - a unit of inheritance; they consist of DNA which tell your body what proteins to manufacture.
Genes are inherited from parents and contribute to the development of an individuals characteristic.
Neuroanatomy - the study of the structure and organisation of the nervous system.
Neurochemistry - the study of chemicals and their reactions in the nervous system.
Nature - the influence of biological processes on behaviour, including genetics and hormones.
Nurture - the influence of the environment on behaviour and development.
Genotype - the geneticmakeup of an organism; It consists of all the genetic information that determines the characteristic of organisms
Phenotype - an individual's observabletraits ( height, eye colour, blood type and the presence or absence, after an interaction with the environment). The genotype and environment contribute to the phenotype.
