  • near to the knocks , here and now , his bloody life in my bloody hands " - remains

This quote shows the idea of ptsd and how his hands are a symbol of his crimes . The repetition of " bloody " emphasises how the killing is fresh in his mind . it contains cyclical structure because in the beginning he was near to the knuckle and had blood on his hands but it was not the same effect because he was loving it then but now it is the idea that this crime can not be washed because the mind can not get over it
  • blink "  " sleep " " dream " - remains

These three words create a semantic field which represents peace because when you " blink " " sleep " and " dream " you are at peace and when you can rest . the semantic field shows you how this man is not physically affected but mentally affected which is the Volta because he does not have this predator mindset anymore and now he cannot sleep and relax
  • I see every round as it rips through his life " - remains

a graphic hyperbole is used to demonstrate the lack of glory and honour this killing is not pretty but still a matter of fact it is a violent death and shot to kill shows you the viciousness with which these soldiers killed this man and it was like they were hunting an animal
  • " king , honour , human dignity , ect dropped like luxuries in a yelling alarm " - bayonet charge

  • " my name is Ozymandias king of kings " - Ozymandias

It is a hyperbole because in this quote he is exaggerating and over the top . It is a juxtaposition because Ozymandias believes he is god-like and he is all powerful and it juxtaposes with the quote " nothing beside remains " . Personifcation of “our brain ache” shows the brain itself is struggling and this could be linked to propaganda because they have been fed so much it is like the can not think straight. It shows the men being helpless because nature is powerful
