    • Start and end of dance
      Start: SLC picks up wooden pole and begins to walk on upturned boxes, pulls out a monk

      End: SLC takes wooden pole back from monk, who looks angry
    • F + C: 3 movements and analysis
      -Monks contained in their boxes til freed by SLC/other monks

      -Displaced manipulation: monk holds wooden pole and moves it in a circle as SLC uses his index finger to control it

      -Free and fluid movement, feet contained on box
    • O+N C: 1 movement and analysis
      -Drunken fist martial art: Unsteady movements w/ cupped hand, raised to mouth and head tipped back as if drinking
    • JoA: 2 movements and analysis
      -SLC holds pole with one hand, monk holds with 2 hands, they move it in a circular motion: trying to form connection acting as one

      -SLC watches from the sides, as if trying to learn more so he can be accepted
    • Set and analysis
      All boxes upturned, resemble pond (old china, Chinese gardens)

      AG: 'When the stage was flipped it was almost like a pond [...] almost dangerous [...] had depth but could only walk on certain bits of it
    • Music and analysis
      Scratchy and out of tune, Chinese style violin, ends abruptly as SLC takes pole: matches unsteady movements, link to old china
