  • Start and end of dance:
    Starts with monks sitting down and doing sign language, ends with them walking into boxes that are now in a line at the back of the stage
  • F+C: 1 movement and analysis
    -Containment: SLC is contained in his metal box again, attempts to pull it when monks pull their wooden ones but can't as he is inside it, repeats the one leg out movement from section 9 but this time is able to escape (freedom)

    -Triangle shape created by the monks as they sit on top of the boxes resemble triangle shaped roofs on pagodas which is what this section is named after
    -Cross legged meditation pose, prayed hands at the end of the sign language section, monks culture
    -Use of French sign language could show how china/the monks have become more connected to other countries/the west over time
