Animal cell and Plant cell

Cards (10)

  • What is the Nucleus?
Nucleus contains genetic material and controls the cells activities
  • What is the Cytoplasm?
The cytoplasm is a gel - like substance where most chemical reactions take place
  • What is the Cell membrane?
The Cell Membrane controls what substances can enter and leave the cell
  • What are ribosomes?
Ribosomes are where proteins are synthesised (made)
  • What is Mitochondria?
The Mitochondria is where aerobic respiration takes place
  • What is in an Animal cell?
    Nucleus
    Cytoplasm
    Cell membrane
    Mitochondria
    Ribosomes
  • What is in a Plant cell?
A plant cell contains the same structures as an animal cell but it also has a Cell wall, Permanent Vacuole and Chlroplasts.
  • what is a Cell wall?
The cell wall is made of cellulose and this helps to strengthen the cell.
  • What is a Permanent Vacuole?
The permanent vacuole contains cell sap to support the plant
  • What are Chloroplasts?

The chloroplasts absorb light energy to make food (glucose) by photosynthesis
