  • disabled adults are more likely to be victims of crime. in 2019 1 in 4 disabled adults were victims of crime compared to 1 in 5 non-disabled adults
  • hate crimes against disabled people are increasing
  • society has attempted to be more inclusive of disabled people e.g. having ramps
  • almost half of LGBTQ+ young people and over 60% of trans pupils suffer bullying at school (Stonewall). this means they are less likely to want to furthertheir education meaning they will have lower qualifications and earn lower incomes
  • members of LGBTQ community suffer discrimination in the workplace e.g. negative comments and not given a promotion. this limits their opportunity to earn a good wage, enjoy good quality of housing (Stonewall)
