    A move in chess where the king is moved two squares towards a rook on the same rank, and then the rook is moved to the square the king crossed over.

    A situation where a player's king is in check and there is no possible escape.
  • Draw
    A game where the same moves have been made, or are about to be made, three times in a row.
  • Promotion
    Replacement of a pawn with a new piece when the pawn is moved to its last rank.
