Circulatory system

• From the small intestine, the blood gathers food nutrients and delivers them to every cell
• Blood carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body
• Blood removes waste products such as carbon dioxide from the body's tissues and transports it back to the lungs where it is exhaled
• Blood also contains hormones that control various functions within the body
