What is osmosis?
The
movement
of
water
molecules
from a
high
concentration to a
low
concentration
What is this?
Osmosis
Flaccid plant cell
In a
concentrated
solution,
cell contents
lose
water by
osmosis
- they
shrink
and pull away from the cell. The cell becomes
flaccid
Turgid
In pure water, the
cytoplasm
and
vacuole
push
against
the
cell
wall.
This is a turgid cell
