  • Token economy
    • Giving a token (e.g. a sticker) to a child following appropriate behaviors
    • Tokens are usually small and countable e.g. a smile face
    • After collecting a predetermined number of tokens, the tokens can be traded in for a back-up reinforcer (e.g. a candy)
    • The "appropriate behaviour" needs to be defined clearly
    • Back-up reinforcer should be negotiated in advance
