  2nd channel - provide funding directly to athletes via an Athlete Performance Award - contributes to their living and sporting costs once they have reached elite performance level

  It runs a number of centralised strategic support services across the UK, including the development of World Class Coaches e.g. vias the Elite programme

  this is delivered in conjuncture with Sports Coach UK and is aimed at developing programmes and innovations to support coaches in the World Class System
