• Dominion refers to the role of humans as rulers and controllers of the world.
• Catholics belive that when God created humans He put them

  ‘in charge’ of the world and it’s resources
• Humans must ensure that the order God has created will be maintained (stewardship)
• Stewardship means caring for the planet and managing its resources
• Catholics that life is a gift from God and Hes given humans the special duty to care for the world on his behalf
• Humans have duty to ensure that all people , animals and plants life live well now and in the future
• The demands placed on natural resources should not reduce their capacity and we should try to live in a sustainable way - environmental sustainability
• We should think ourselves as global citizens
• Sustainability


  it refers to not using up the worlds natural resources such as gas oil and coal

  • making sure we only buy food we need
  • recycle when possible
  • using + promoting renewable energy
  • reducing carbon footprint
  • raising awareness of these issues
