Test-retest

• What does the test-retest method involve?

  Administering the same test/questionnaire to the same person on different occasions
• How will you know if a test/questionnaire is reliable using the test-retest method?

  The results should be the same/similar
• What must there be between test and retest in the test-retest method to ensure participants cannot recall their answers?

  Sufficient time
• In the case of a questionnaire/test, what would you do with the two sets of scores after test-retest?

  Correlate them to make sure they are similar - if the correlation turns out to be significant than the reliability is assumed good
