VLDL is first lipoprotein to leave liver; what liver manufactures
origin of triglycerides found in VLDLs can either be manufactured by the liver or be dietary triglycerides that have been removed from chylomicrons and deposited into VLDL
in the endogenous pathway, once VLDL reaches tissues, capillary lipase will hydrolyze VLDL for fuel or turn it back to triglycerides and store it (similar to exogenous pathway)
VLDL will also give up their phospholipids and their proteins
some VLDL will become LDL
some VLDL will become remnants of VLDL; remnants will be absorbed by the liver and be recycled
LDL will give up some of their triglycerides, phospholipids in capillary bed and will be absorbed by cells with LDL receptors
