  • Cinder cone volcanoes - These volcanoes have circular or oval cones made up of fragments or particles of lava expelled from a single vent that have been blown into the air, cooled and fallen around the vent. They do not generally get more than 300 meters tall.
  • Composite volcanoes - These are the volcanoes that have steep sides, although they are also shaped like cones.
  • Composite Volcanoes - They are formed from many layers of volcanic rocks or lava for many years.They can be as tall as 2.4 kilometers.
  • Shield volcanoes -They look like a shape of a bowl or shield,with long gentle slopes made from basalt lava flows.The lava flows from these volcanoes is called flood basalts.
  • Lava dome volcanoes -are formed by thick lava,which makes a steep sided mound as the lava piles up near the vent of volacano.
  • Lava dome volcanoes -These types of volcanoes can also formed within the inside of other types of volcano.
