aimed to investigate whether testosterone and aggression levels are linked
co-variable 1 was testosterone levels
co-variable 2 was aggression levels
testosterone was measured by the 4D + 2D ratio, averaged across both hands in mm. This was to give an indication of testosterone levels in the womb.
aggression levels were measured using the BussPerryAggressionQuestionnaire 1992, 5 point scale. This is a self-rating scale.
we used spearman’scorrelationco-efficient stats test and found no significant relationship between testosterone and aggression. we accepted the null hypothesis.
we concluded that the results were not significant and did not support the original findings. a fullevaluation would be needed to find any mistakes made.
this study was high in internalvalidity as it was a self-report and provided detailed data.
this study was high in reliability due to standardised procedures.
this study was low in generalisability as only Reigatecollegestudents aged 16-18 took part.
there is low validity as socially desirable answers may have been given during the study.
we used a scatter diagram to represent our results
