  • *Act 1, Scene 1 - servants of the house are fighting, Benvolio and Tybalt arrive and a street brawl takes place. The Prince is absolutely fuming and says if it happens again, their lives are the forfeit. We find out about Romeo's unrequited love for Rosaline.
  • Act 1, Scene 2 - Paris visits and asks Capulet if he can marry Juliet, but says she is too young. Romeo and Benvolio find out about the ball, and decide to go. Romeo wants to see Rosaline, who will be at the ball.
  • Act 1, Scene 3 - Lady Capulet is searching for her daughter. They talk about Paris, and Nurse thinks they should get married and encourages her to take Paris' hand.
  • *Act 1, Scene 4 - Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio go to the ball. Romeo has second thoughts, however Mercutio convinces him in the 'Queen Mab' speech.
  • *Act 1, Scene 5 - The Capulet ball is in full swing, Tybalt sees Romeo and is angered, and wants to attack. He gets more angry when Capulet says he can't attack. Romeo and Juliet kiss, and then they realise who they are.
  • Act 2, Scene 1 - Romeo doesn't want to leave Juliet so goes back to the mansion to find her. Mercutio and Benvolio go to find him, but can't.
  • *Act 2, Scene 2 - The balcony scene, Romeo performs his soliloquy, and then Juliet comes out to the balcony does her soliloquy. The two realise they're both there and confess their love for each other. They decide to get married the next day.
  • Act 2, Scene 3 - Romeo goes to find Friar Lawrence and tell him that he wants to get married to Juliet. The Friar questions it, asking about Rosaline, but agrees thinking it might help end the feud.
  • Act 2, Scene 4 - Mercutio and Benvolio reveal that Tybalt has challenged Romeo to a duel. Romeo doesn't tell either of them how he feels about Juliet. The Nurse comes and visits Romeo, telling him not to play with Juliet's emotions. He reassures her that he loves Juliet, and they devise the plan for Romeo and Juliet to get married that afternoon.
  • Act 2, Scene 5 - The Nurse tells Juliet about the plan for the two to get married at Friar Lawrence's cell that afternoon.
  • *Act 2, Scene 6 - Romeo and Juliet meet at Friar Lawrence's cell and get married.
  • *Act 3, Scene 1 - Benvolio tries to convince Mercutio to leave, that the Capulets were looking for a fight. Tybalt arrives looking for Romeo, and when Romeo arrvies, he refuses to fight Tybalt (they're now related). Mercutio and Tybalt start to fight, and then Mercutio dies (cruses the houses), and then Romeo seeks revenge by killing Tybalt. The Prince arrives and exiles Romeo.
  • Act 3, Scene 2 - Juliet waits for Romeo to join her after their marriage. Instead of Romeo, the Nurse arrives with news of Tybalt's murder. Juliet is in shock, but then after hearing the circumstances, she accepts it and needs to see Romeo.
  • *Act 3, Scene 3 - Romeo is hiding in Friar Lawrence's cell, scared and shocked. He claims banishment is worse than death because he won't be able to see Juliet. The Nurse arrives, saying that Juliet still loves him. Friar convinces Romeo to runaway to Mantua while things settle, but to go and see Juliet and seal their marriage, before he leaves.
  • Act 3, Scene 4 - Paris visits Capulet again, asking about marriage. Capulet says no (too much grief), but then has a change of heart and says that the wedding shall be on Thursday.
  • Act 3, Scene 5 - Romeo bids her goodbye to Romeo. Lady Capulet comes in and tells her that she has to marry Paris, and when she refuses, Capulet threatens to disown her if she doesn't marry Paris. Nurse comes in and tells her to forget about Romeo, and marry Paris. Juliet isn't having this so goes and visits the Friar.
  • Act 4, Scene 1 - Paris is also with the Friar, planning the wedding. Juliet says shes here to confess and Paris leaves. Juliet threatens to kill herself if the Friar can't help her. He devises the plan, where she takes the potion, and FL sends a message to Romeo, so he can come and fetch Juliet from the Capulet tomb, and they can live happily ever after.
  • Act 4, Scene 2 - Juliet returns home, and agrees to the 'marriage', and her father is overjoyed. He is so happy, that he moves the wedding to the next day.
  • Act 4, Scene 3 - The change of the wedding day forces Juliet into taking the potion a night early. At first she is worried that FL has given her poison, but she takes the potion anyway, immediately appearing dead.
  • Act 4, Scene 4 - The Capulets prepare for the wedding.
  • Act 4, Scene 5 - Nurse dicovers the body, and Lady Capulet, Capulet and Paris all see her 'deceased' body. Everything for the wedding is now her funeral, and she is taken to the Capulet tomb.
  • Act 5, Scene 1 - Romeo discovers that Juliet is 'dead' from his servant Balthasar. He buys some poison and returns to Verona to see Juliet.
  • Act 5, Scene 2 - Friar John reveals that he never got the message to Romeo, informing that Juliet wasn't actually dead. Friar Lawrence is STRESSED OUT and hurries to the Capulet tomb to make sure nothing is happening.
  • Act 5, Scene 3 - Paris visits Juliet's body to mourn her. Romeo comes in, sees him, fights him and kills him (doesn't realise who it is). Romeo goes over to her, takes the poison and dies. FL comes to find Juliet, who has just woken up, trying to take her away (to go to a nunnery). She doesn't want to, grabs Romeo's dagger and stabs herself. The Prince arrived, shook and furious. Montague arrives, claiming L.Montague has died of grief. Friar tells his account of what happened. Montague and Capulet overcome their differences and decided to raise statues of their kids.
