• Crude oil is finite (it is non renewable)
• Cracking is the process of breaking down large hydrocarbons into smaller chains.
• Cracking takes place in steel vessels called crackers. The vapour is passed over a HOT catalyst and is heated -THERMAL DECOMPOSITION
• There are two types of Cracking: Catalytic and Steam
• Crude oil is a black, thick substance that is made from plankton and Dead .
