Elizabeth's mother was Anne Boleyn and her father was Henry VIII.
Her cousin was Mary Queen of Scott's.
Her half-brother was Edward VI but he died early into his reign as king so Elizabeth became Queen.
Her Half sister was Mary I.
Elizabeth had many progress during her reign, which were tours around the country in the summer and she went with most of her advisors, guards, officials and servants.
During progresses they stayed at nobles homes and were given free accommodation, food and gifts.
Progresses were held in the south- east and the Midlands, never in the North, Wales or the south- west.
Elizabeth went on progresses so people who couldn't travel to London could see her and so she could buildup a relationship with the public.
Elizabeth's coronation was held in London in Westminster on the 15th January 1559.
Her coronation was very colourful and elaborate and people lined the streets to see it.
